Review:
The San Francesco apartment was fabulous, airy and spacious and met all our needs for self-catering accommodation. The owners were lovely , welcoming us to Rome and providing items to make our stay enjoyable. The location was perfect and in close proximity to the sites we wished to visit and we loved the market stalls on the footpath below - gave a whole new meaning to "window shopping"! The nearby supermarket was really handy and public transport close by . We would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome.

just back from Rome and I have to say our stay at San Fransceso was perfect. We loved the apartment and thought the overall service was excellent. The website is easy to navigate, the photos true to life, the booking process easy, the prebooked taxis were great and Michele, our host, made the whole stay by providing the little unexpected extras like milk, bread, wine etc etc - there wasn't anything he hadn't thought of. We couldn't have faulted it and will definitely be back. Many thanks

I stayed here with friends and children in February. The appartment is well placed we walked everywhere. Good selection of resturants and the supermarket literally in the basement was very handy. The appartment itself was spotless with good amenties, plenty of hot water and all home comforts including satatile TV. Would certainly use it again.

The property in Rome was exactly as we had hoped, as a family of 5 it accomodated us more than comfortably, was close to many of the sites of Rome and extremely close to all amenities. The owner was there to meet us and made us feel very welcome. Thankyou to all involved in our stay, we will definitely be letting any of our friends know about Holiday Velvet.

The location, cleanliness, quality and service was really really very good, and that is despite a broken pipe preventing us from having any water on one day! The owner was very considerate, and tried to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Review:
The location of this apartment was excellent. Very close to all amenities. The apartment was modern, very clean and comfortable. We were met by a very helpful representative who took a lot of time to show us around tha apartment. The only slight criticism is that there were not enough tea cups and there was no kettle. That's English tourists for you!! We had a fabulous stay and I would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Review:
Great apartment for a family - spacious and clean with enough rooms to get away from eachother if needed! Loved the location - had no idea how easy it would be to find the main street by following the tram tracks. The owner met us and showed us around the apartment. Was a plus to have a washer and the outdoor patio area. Only issue was not being able to find sheets for the cot. We all (including 2 teenagers) would stay here again and highly recommend the property.

The property was fab, clean, modern and comfortable. It had a great little terrace to sit out on. The location was perfect, 15mins walk to Piazzo Novona or 2mins to tram. Bus service was excellent. Great eating place practically below apartments which served fantastic breakfasts.

Review:
We had a marvelous time in Trastevere. San Francesco was excellent. We specially enjoyed the patio. It was very pleasant for dinners and breakfast. The location of San Francesco is terrific with the gelato store to the left and wine bar to the right of the entry. We found at least three super mercati within a block or so. That amazing cheese store, Antica Caciara just down the San Francesco a Ripa, the farmer's market around the corner on Piazza di San Cosim eato, the lovely Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere a few minutes walk away made our stay very memorable. The location is so convenient to Campo di Fiori, Piazza Navona, the Vatican, the Giancolo, even Piazza di Spagna and Villa Borghese. It is a manageable walk to the Colloseum and Forum.

I must say I am impressed by the professionalism shown by Velvet and by Oakley in particular. We did indeed enjoy our trip and our stay in San Fransesco . We did have to leave it it till the last moment to contact the owner as we did not know when we would arrive. However that worked out ok and the owner met us at the apartment and gave us a rundown of the place. Trastevere is an interesting area. As I said we were very happy in the apartment. I have to point out a couple of issues not as complaints just to advise. The toaster did not work and the iron was a bit of a problem too but I think it may just be the points themselves. No big deal though but maybe he does not actually know. For some reason he had been advised that we needed a cot for a baby! The other thing which did not matter greatly was that my bed had no sheets. Maybe it was assumed that my sister was actually my wife and therefore we only needed a double bed and one single. However no big deal there either. Please don't take any of this as complaints but simply feedback as you have requested. Thank you again for all your help.

the location was perfect- close to everything you would want or need- major sites, transportaion, resturants that were extremly reasonably priced with great food, the streets & neighborhood of Travestere had so much character- I would not want to stay anywhere else. Also, there were 5 of us (my wife and 3 children) and we fit with extreme comfort.

Review:
It was really a good appartment, located in the most charming part of Rome. Clean place, modern decoration, fully equiped. The T.V. didn't work fine, and there was officially no internet, although with a little luck you could easily connect through wi-fi. Wouldn't like to finish without thanking Gino, our driver, who was a charming man and did his work perfectly, with british puntuality...

Review:
This flat had an excellent location, there were loads of restaurants and bars around and close by were a fabulous icecream shop, a pizzeria and a food supermarket. We were very happy with the apartment but there were one or two issues which could be improved. There were no breakfast cups - only espresso cups and there were 4 champagne flutes but no ordinary wine glasses. No kettle. The plants on the balcony, which was very overlooked on all sides, were dead or dying. The communal hall was very smelly - there was a dustbin there. The mezzanine bedroom, has a clearly illustrated spiral staircase, a glass floor and only about 30 cms either side of the bed so take care if you are fat or elderly. My husband and I are 60 and took our 2 adult children. We had a great time - just the kitchen needs a bit of attention (or take your own!)

Review:
Awesome. Trastevere is definitely one of the best areas of Rome, and fantastic to get away from the more touristic areas. Right next to every single amenity you would need (the place next door does brilliant coffee) the apartment is next to public transport. However, in the 6 nights spent here we didnt use public transport once - everything is within walking distance. Being on the corner of Via di San Francesco a Ripa and Viale di Trastevere the apartment does get a little bit noisy at night (on the weekends more than anything -but hey, you should be out there with the locals till 4am anyway) but bring a set of earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The apartment itself was clean and straight. A handy little kitchen, with supplies from the supermarket next door, was excellent for cheap breakfasts. Outdoor terrace was fantastic for afternoon drinks (thanks to the people before us who left half bottles of absolut vodka and bacardi). 8 or 9 out of 10.. Thanks for the awesome Rome holiday! :)
