- Loved the location, and the layout of this apartment in particular the balcony. Gondolas drift by and under a little bridge all day. Easy checkin with staff meeting us at designated vaporetto stop no probs. Improvements could be made by providing a tourist map in the apartment, and maybe some info on the local area and amenities. We felt really quite lost and disorientated when we first arrived. Although friendly enough, the staff member who met us was not forthcoming with any helpful information for us. Seemed in a hurry to get out of there! No WiFi either, so we couldn't download any info. We found cafe with free wifi on the way to Rialto bridge though, and theres a tourist info place in san marco which have maps.

- The apartment was very cute and in a very good location. It did not have as many amenities as others that I have stayed in such as an oven, microwave, or toaster. (these appliances were not listed in the description so I should not have been surprised when they were not there!)Our heat did not work and it was very cold at night. We called our contact person and she said someone would be out to look at it but no one did.

- good location,shower needed cleaning properly as did terrace which needs refurbishing, an iron and board was available but not listed,overall comfortable with all basic needs met. easy access to vaporetti or gondola travel

- A perfect location and the outside 'altana' was great to have - munching bread, tomatoes and cheese and quaffing wine in the early evening sunshine was wonderful. Not to mention the gondolas with singers and accordionists floating by just 10 metres below us. A very clean and well presented flat, well equipped and handy for all the sights. Not cheap, but nothing is in Venice! Highly recommended.

- The apartment was clean and well situated. It was a little on the small side for 4 adults. Loved that the Gonaliers went past the apartment every day. Lots of good restaurants within a short walk of the apartment and good access to the ferry bus at the end of the piazza.

- Giglio made our Venetian experience a joy. Fabulous location for reaching all parts of Venice, comfortably and fully furnished, newly renovated, lots of light, very clean, quiet at night. The daytime gondola rides beneath our windows were entertaining with the singing to the tour groups. Chiara, our contact, made meeting up and checking in easy, accessible by phone too whenever we had questions. We would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends, and would certainly rent it again ourselves.

- This is a beautiful and well appointed appartment in a very central location and only about 100 yards from the Vaperetto Stop.It was clean and had all that you would require for a break. Clean & very well decorated and the patio area overlooking the canal was a bonus. My only problem with returning was the 50 euro cleaning charge at the end. I understand that maybe some people are messy but we are a middle aged couple who left it immaculate and to have to pay 50 euros when a quick hoover and dust was all that was required, we felt was a bit excessive. However we had been told about this so next time will look for an appartment without this charge.

- Myself, my wife and our two young children had an incredible stay at the Giglio apartment. We loved it. It was clean, wonderfully decorated, the air condition worked well in the very hot summer, the location was great, the patio area looking over the gondola route was great for us in the evenings and the contact person was very helpful. We will definitely book this apartment for our next Venice trip. Thank you for a great stay!

- The apartment was good. Tea towels would have been good. The bathroom light was broken. No grill which was okay, but a toaster would have been good. One is asked to leave the apartment as you find it (hopefully clean) but then we pay a 50 euros cleaning fee. This is a contradiction. in general we had a really good stay and found the apartment very pleasant.

- Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Fresh, modern, private, spacious, clean, and with views of garden rooftops and the neighboring canal - what more could we possibly ask for? It's wonderfully quiet, too! Lots of windows, and a fantastic kitchen where you can really cook some of that gorgeous food from the Rialto Market and the Pescheria. The location is terrific. The beauty of Venice is right outside your door, from the small neighborhood campo where you catch the vaporetto to nearby Piazza San Marco and beyond. Eat lunch on the terrace while singing gondoliers carry passengers along the canal. I wish I could go back right now!

- Within 20 minutes we knew we were lucky to choose apartment Giglio as our Venice "home"... we had been greeted at our vaporetta stop by a very friendly Chiara who spoke perfect English. Chaira escorted us to the apartment about five minutes walk away and explained the locality of supermarkets, the local markets and nearby attractions such as St Mark's Square, a mere 10 min walk. Giglio was bright and light, overlooking its own canal - within 20 minutes of our arrival gondolas were floating below, many with musicians or beautiful Italian baritones. My husband and children were equally delighted and we would often run to the shuttered windows or our little verandah to watch them pass by - this was every bit living the Venice dream and within easy walking distance to Rialto bridge, St Mark's, Doges Palace etc even with getting lost. Very positive experience - thank you Holiday Velvet!

- Nice apartment. A bit more expensive than the rest of Italy, but probably reasonable for Venice. Clean and comfortable. Host was very helpful and hospitable.
