We have just spent 4 days in this apartment and I highly recommend it. It's right in the middle of Venice, close to the waterway ferry's (vaporetto's), an easy walk to the Rialto Bridge, close to the markets for food shopping and nearby an internet cafe. It is spacious and modern and has all the facilities that one needs (except for big plates - but good for portion control!!)

Your apartment is beautifully spacious, impeccably clean and comfortable, with a real feel of home. It was everything the photos showed. The apartment had everything we needed apart from a kettle to boil water for the much needed cup of tea after a long day sight seeing J. As you described the location was perfect, plus the added bonus of finding a great little cafe in a square only 2 minutes walk from the apartment, which was great for breakfast. We would both recommend your apartment and request it again when we next visit Venice. Comments to you and your company: This was our first time of booking an apartment through the Internet, and obviously quite nervous, however you made the process very easy and painless, and answered all of our questions swiftly. We would both recommend your company and will visit your site again, when we next plan a trip aboard. Many thanks again for all of your help.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Croce Grande apartment. It was large, beautifully appointed and in a wonderfully quiet yet very accessible part of Venice for all of the sights and you could easily walk to the majority but why miss out on the experience of travelling along the Grand Canal! Holiday Velvet were excellent and the local representative was very helpful. We would have every confidence in using Holiday velvet again.........a wonderful time.

The apartment was the best idea I had & fulfilled my expectations - as well as those I traveled with. When the apartment I originally rented had to be suddenly cancelled, I was offered an upgrade at the same price. I was concerned about the new location, but was pleasantly surprised by its convienance to major attractions & transportation. My only problem was failing to ask about a nearby supermarket. The apartment did not have soap or toilet paper (only a leftover roll - for 5 people), but that was easily rectified by a quick visit to a drugstore. Irene, who gave me the keys, offered a recommendation for a great restaurant, very close by. I will happily do this again.

We liked the flat very much. It is very spacious and comfortably furnished. It was in a excellent location for shopping at the wonderful Rialto fish and fruit/vegetable markets, very convenient for the vaporetto. Arrangements for being met at the vaporetto stop on arrival and taken to the flat went very smoothly. The flat was very clean. There were a few things that needed attention, such as light bulbs that needed replacing and a bedroom window that did not open, so the shutters could not be opened, but generally we had a very enjoyable stay.

Review:
The apartment was exceptionally clean. There was plenty of room for our family (2 adults + 2 teenage boys) and 2 adult friends. We found the location very convenient to all major attractions. We all greatly enjoyed walking through the area on both sides of the Rialto bridge. This was the second time renting an apartment vs staying in a hotel. We find the trade off of no daily maid service worth the extra room and ability to eat some meals "at home". The kitchen had some basic supplies left from previous guests (salt, pepper, coffee, pasta). It was nice to know our "leftover" staples would be left for the next visitors. As far as negatives....when we went to use the hot water for the first time, we discovered the water heater was not turned on. After a little hunting around and making our best guesses at what symbols and Italian words meant, we got it functioning. Overall, definitely a great value for Venice.
