- The location of the property is absolutely the best in Rome. Think about waking up in the morning looking at the Colosseum less than a stonesthrow away: You can feel the history. The service provided by the local representative was excellent, as the service had been by Holiday-Velvet before we arrived. There are two reasons that we "only" rate our stay as 4 star: The property was well equipped for 6 people, but lacked e.g. chairs when you were 8, as we were, and the kitchen and some of the equipment was a bit run down (e.g. the oven didn't work). But putting that a side: We had a remarkable stay in Rome, and will be back! We experienced value for money. So: We are recommending Holiday-Velvet to all our friends and family - and as our professional backgrounds are in the travel trade, we do know a bit about it.... :o)

- Superb spacious apartment with what must be the best views of the colosseum in Rome, straight across the road. Would recommend this to anybody, but there were just a few minor complaints - nothing to spoil the experience: We arrived at the the stated time but were waiting 20 minutes for the rep to show up. No toilet rolls in either bathroom. Batteries in remote controls for air conditioning were dead. Had to buy them ourselves but were reimbursed on departure. There was only one set of keys for an apartment which can take up to 8 people. A guest book for people to leave notes would be useful. For instance, we found an Argentinian restaurant nearby on the Via Cavour which was absolutely superb, we would definitely have recommended it for future guests.

- We stayed at the Colosseum Imperiali for 4 nights in Oct 08. The location of the apartment was 1st class, with fantastic views of the Colosseum and within walking distance of other major attractions. The apartment was a great size for 7/8 people, it was clean and really well presented. I would definitely recommend this apartment. The only negative I have is towards the person who was there show us into the apartment, he was extremley rude, and lacked even basic customer service skills. But dont let this put anyone off, as this interaction only lasts for around 10 minutes.
