- A friend and I have recently returnd from a fantastic holiday in Rome. We stayed in Casa Svezia in Trastavere, which is an ideally located very nice one bedroom apartment. We met the owner on arrival who was most helpful in showing us around the apartment and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was very clean and there was loads of room for two of us, in fact you could fit three people if the couch was used for sleeping. Much more comfortable and spacious than a 3 star hotel, which would have cost more. Casa Svezia is situated no more than 2 minutes walk from the heart of Trastevere, with its narrow cobble stoned streets, numerous restaurants and bars, we were a five minute walk from Paizza Santa Maria and a ten minute walk from the Vatican. Once we crossed the river, the other sites of Rome were easily accessable and we managed to do it all on foot. I would have no hesitation in recommending Casa Svezia as a place to stay while in Rome.
