Well located, right on St Angelo's square, less than 10mins walk to St Marc's piazza. However you must go to another location to collect the key, and the directions to this office were not clear - initially they direct you to Campo del Tolentini - but the office isn't there. It is instead at Fondamenta del Gafaro, which is about 30secs walk away, down the street and across a bridge. Which is close, but still leaves a new visitor to Venice very confused and a little worried. (Go armed knowing how to say "Where is Fondamenta del Gafaro?" in Italian - "Dove e Fondamenta del Gafaro?")A very large apartment, clean, but not overly maintained. The hot water, if it came on, took about 15mins to do so ( no quick showers) and one of the bathroom sinks was at risk of snapping in two if you leaned on it too hard. There was a nice big kitchen, but it was under-equipped (e.g. no frying pan).Overall: relatively cheap, but you're paying for space and location rather than service and luxury.

Review:
The apartment is in the perfect location for a Venice stay - very secure, clean, close to transport, shopping, all the fine restaurants and galleries and only a few minutes walk to San Marco. It is very large, able to accomodate easily a family with 2 bathrooms, both very large and clean. The owner is very careful and quick to respond to any issues needing attention. This would be an ideal place for someone wanting the total Venetian experience. Highly recommended!!

Review:
We stayed at Angelo fom 12-19 April, 2011. The apartment is spacious, clean and well located. Arrangements for collection and delivery of the keys were efficient and hassle free. Directions on how to get to the apartment from key pick up at "above tide" were clear and accurate. Location is excellent. 5-6minutes walk to the Accademia, about 10 minutes to the Rialto, about the same to St.Mark's Square. As commented before, hot water takes a while to come through in the shower but it does come through eventually so a little patience is required. We were close to some of our favourite eating places in Dorsoduro like Taverna san Trovaso and Ristorante san Trovaso, not to mention the superb and well-feted wine bar Enoteca Cantinone "Gia Schiavi". Try the huge variety of chicetti at 1eur. each. Restaurant Rosa Rossa just down the road from the apartment is also pretty good. Good value to buy a 72hr or one week ticket for getting around on the Vaporettos, the one week one is currently 50 eur. so you can soon get your money's worth on this lovely way of seeing the city. The apartment basically does all it says on the tin, but it is two floors up so if you have any difficulties with stairs, although the stairs are gentle, you need to take this into account. Hope this review helps somebody make their choice.

Great apartment in a fabulous area. The apartment is close to everything and the apartment itself actually exceeded expectations (this is unusual) and was extremely comfortable. I will be recommending this apartment to all friends travelling to Venice.

Review:
The location was ideal, just a short walk to both San Marco and Rialto bridge. It was a very clean and spacious apartment. I do not think the pictures posted on the website do it justice! It has a lot of character and led to a very pleasant stay. The only problem we occurred was involving water; it took a very long time to get hot water in the kitchen, sometimes not at all. Secondly, the toilet in the main bedroom took over 2 hours to refill. It did not affect our stay as we had an overall very enjoyable experience. I would recommend this apartment and would certainly like to come back to this flat on return to Venice.
