Bed & Breakfast Description

Chalet la Sache is a stunning chalet built in 2002 to a traditional style employing lots of beautiful reclaimed wood to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. The chalet also has floor to ceiling windows to show off the beautiful view of the Mont Blanc chain.

Nestled next to the woods a short walk from the centre of Chamonix we have the best of both worlds, peace and quiet here at the chalet with all the action of the town nearby.

There are five guest bedrooms sleeping up to 12 in full sized oak beds and we have the option of proper doubles or twins depending on the group. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with bath and shower with independant hot water system.

The living area is all open plan, with large sitting room with comfy sofas, dining area and open fire, all of which offers the chance to see those snow capped mountains.

About Chamonix Chamonix

Chamonix is legendary as a mountaineers and skiers paradise. The town was the birthplace of mountaineering, and so has a really traditional feel to it with plenty of Gallic charm, unlike many of the 1960's purpose built ski resort monstrosities!

Chamonix has everything you could want to make for a great holiday, shops, bars, restaurants even a Michelin starred one, though most people come to either ski and snowboard or for the Summer activities.

First a word about the winters here in Chamonix, the valley streches from Les Houches in the west to Le Tour at the eastern end with Brevant and Flegere above the town and the legendary Les Grands Montets just a few minutes away. There is a ski area for all levels, though the options for skiing and riding off piste in powder here are perhaps what makes Chamonix so famous.

Les Houches and Le Tour offer more gentle rolling slopes, Brevant and Flegere get the best of the sunshine, and Les Grands Montets is the famous area for its steeps and deeps.

The summers though are equally exciting, with Chamonix being a mecca for walkers, climbers, mountaineers, road and mountain bikers. There are also opportunities for kayaking, rafting and canyoning. With all the main lifts running you get a head start up the hill and then can enjoy more time up in the high Alpine air.

Chamonix also makes a great base for visiting the Alps even if outdoor sports are not really your thing. With plenty to do and see, and with hot summers days it makes a perfect base for a sightseeing holiday.
