Vacation Rental Description

Enjoy a unique self catering holiday on the beautiful Scarborough Beachfront near Cape Point.

One enters the enclosed property into a sunny lush garden, which leads to an undercover terrace and braai area complete with table and chairs. From here you enter an enclosed conservatory / informal playroom with pool table, for all weather entertaining with cosy fire and sofa bed for extra guests.

Next to the entertainment area is the garden room with warm natural light and twin beds. This opens out on to both the conservatory and back garden.

Annexed to the conservatory is the self-contained open plan cottage with kitchenette complete with microwave, washbasin and fridge. Two large orthopaedic twin beds convert into large double bed, with en suite shower and private views of the Zen style back garden with its beautiful shady trees.

The large beach bathroom can be accessed from the house and garden and is equipped with shower, bath, basin and toilet.

The study has a desk layout for two work stations. A prepaid landline telephone service is available on request. There is a small library and extra cupboard storage. The room can also be utilised for extra accommodation as required. From the ground level, you enter the small entrance hall to get to the stairs.

There is certainly no shortage of views from the large living area with its entire glass frontage. The uninterrupted views across the Atlantic coastline are breathtaking. A five-panel door can be folded away to extend the spacious open plan area out onto a large teak deck. This is the place to watch the world go by and laze in the African sun.

The interior of the living area is finished with earth colour walls and bamboo blinds and is equipped with a sound system, television, satellite television and a DVD player.

There is an extendable solid oak dining room table, which can seat up to ten people. Dimmers control all the lighting.

A modern open plan, stainless steal and granite surfaced kitchen extends off the main living area. Equipped with a large gas hob and electric oven, it also has a microwave, dishwasher and the usual appliances. The kitchen is equipped to cater for up to ten people and opens up onto the teak deck with views of the Atlantic.

There is a wealth of fauna and flora to explore at Scarborough and Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, many lovely walks, quiet coves and clear water for swimming (yes, it does get warm enough!). It is also an ideal base for surfing, cycling, jogging, fishing and hiking.
