Fantastically situated in a privileged location nestled directly above the intimate and private Barley Bay Beach, this large Cape Town self-catering villa with a pool boasts the famous Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles range as a backdrop and panoramic ocean views. The spacious property is a double-storey house which can be rented out as a 5-bedroom retreat – perfect for couples, families or friends – and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. This recently restored accommodation in Camps Bay is an elegant 'Grande Dame' of Camps Bay as it is one of the last remaining original residences with 2 fully-equipped units and each has its own private entrance. Antiques, original artworks, and beautiful vintage furniture from the 1920s are creatively coupled with modern conveniences to make this unique villa welcoming and cosy. On the lower level, there is a well-equipped kitchen, a sitting/dining area (including a fireplace) that leads to the patio. It is furnished with lounge chairs and a dining table and chairs. There are 2 beautifully appointed double en-suite bedrooms with showers. The upper level features an open-plan and fully-equipped kitchen which opens to the sitting room with a fireplace and to the glass-enclosed balcony which can be opened up for bringing the outside in. It also leads into an elegant dining room with a beautiful 8-seater Victorian table plus piano! From the dining room, you step out onto the pool deck which is perfect for elegant entertaining and dipping into the crystal clear pool which overlooks the sea only 30m away! Here there are 3 gorgeous en-suite bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have king-sized beds, large baths and ocean views; while the 3rd bedroom (2 singles which can be converted into a king-sized bed) has its own private patio with views of the ocean and mountain as well as a secluded outdoor Victorian bath in the garden! Guests also benefit from daily maid service (Monday-Friday), an outdoor shower and a private Victorian bath area for a unique experience of bathing under the African stars. Other features are the fans and heater panels in each room, air conditioning in the upstairs living and dining area, 1GB free Wi-Fi Internet connection (with option to buy more), cable TV, a DVD player, a surround sound system and an alarm system. There is a single garage to lock your car in as well as 2 dedicated off street parking bays.

More than 90 days: For bookings cancelled more than three months prior to arrival date a 20% cancellation fee is charged
Within 90 and 60 days: For bookings cancelled between 90 and 60 days of arrival date a cancellation fee of 35% of the Rental is charged
Within 60 and 30 days: For bookings cancelled between 60 and 30 days of arrival date a cancellation fee of 70% of the Rental is charged
Within 30 days: For bookings cancelled less than 30 days from arrival date a cancellation fee of 100% of the Rental is charged
If the client abandons the property, he loses all rights to any eventual refund or rebate.If there's a "no-show" without the client giving prior warning to Holiday Velvet , the client is liable for 100% of the total booking amount.
Should you need to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, airline cancellation, strikes, political unrest, ill health etc, the same cancellation conditions as stated here apply.
As a precautionary measure, we strongly recommend that the Client purchase travel insurance.
ALTERATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS BY HOLIDAY VELVET
Though it is unlikely that Holiday Velvet will have to make any changes to confirmed arrangements, it does occasionally happen, and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If, for any reason beyond our control, we are unable to provide you with the property you booked, Holiday Velvet shall reserve the right to cancel the reservation. For example, if the properties are damaged or rendered unusable Holiday Velvet will endeavor to locate an alternative property for the period required. However, if this is not possible, or you do not wish to be transferred, Holiday Velvet will cancel the booking and refund you in full. Holiday Velvet shall not be liable for any further obligations or claims by the client.If before or during the Occupation Period, the Manager should cancel this Agreement orthe Tenant should cancel the reservation Agreement as a result of a breach of any suchAgreements by the Owner the Manager shall reimburse the a pro rata portion of the Rentalthat the Tenant did not occupy the Premises.Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein contained, the Tenant hereby agrees andauthorises the Manager to, should the Premises, for any reason whatsoever, not be suitablefor occupation by the Tenant, resulting in the cancellation of this Agreement, arrange suchalternative accommodation (on the same or similar terms and conditions contained in thisAgreement) for the duration or remainder of the Occupation Period.
BREACH
If any party commits any breach of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement (“thedefaulting party”) then the remaining party (“the aggrieved party”) shall be entitled togive the defaulting party 24 hours notice to remedy such breach, and if the defaulting partyfails to comply with such notice then the aggrieved party shall be entitled, but not obliged,without prejudice to any other rights which the aggrieved party may have in law, includingthe right to claim damages, to cancel the Agreement; or claim immediate performanceand/or payment of all the defaulting party’s obligations in terms hereof.Should the aggrieved party institute action against the defaulting party pursuant to abreach by the defaulting party of this Agreement, then without prejudice to any of therights which the Owner may have, the aggrieved party shall be entitled to recover from thedefaulting party all costs incurred by it including legal costs (on the scale as betweenattorney and own client), tracing fees and such collection commission as the aggrievedparty is obliged to pay to its attorneys.
