Vacation Rental Description

The villa is located within a boutique resort named Royal Residence Rangdu on a hill in the north of Bali, 200 meters above sea level. The small village Desa Rangdu lays 6 km of the northern coast, with beaches of volcanic sand.

Royal Residence Rangdu is still under development and will, when it is finished, consist of 12 beautifully shaped villa's . Six of them are delivered to their private owners so far (2003-2008). Villa Tunjung (built in 2008) is a traditional style luxury villa surrounded by a spacious quite secluded tropical garden with its own 7x8 oddly square shaped swimming pool. The swimming pool has a large terrace on which the staff prepares the sun beds daily according to the number of guests. A roof covered open living room (bale bengong) of 4x4 mtr on top of the swimming pool pump house completes the pool facilities. You live outside under the roof and therefore a huge roof covered open terrace dominates the villa. From the villa's terrace you have a beautiful view towards the mountains in the west.

The design of the villa is a balanced combination of examples of Balinese craftsmanship in wood and stone and modern Asina minimalism. The atmosphere is stylish, quiet and serene. The well trained staff of Royal Residence Rangdu will fulfil all of your wishes within the all-inclusive concept. Your private butler takes care of serving meals, doing household and laundry .

Villa Tunjung has a masterbedroom with a double bed and a fully open air bathroom with washtable, shower, small bathtub and toilet. On garden level below the large terrace a guestroom with double bed is situated with its own bathroom with wash cabinet, shower and toilet. A small extra bedroom (2x3 mtr) with bunkbeds and small wash table for unexpected guests is located next to the guestroom. This room has no toilet.

About Boutique Buleleng

The hilltop on which Royal Residence Rangdu is located is in the south of the local village Rangdu. A few families live around this area. Except for some small grocerie-like stores there are no shopping facilities in the direct neighbourhood. It is all nature and local village life.

The resort offers her guests the unique opportunity to blend with local life. To get acquainted with local villagers, to see how they live or to be invited at their homes or their special Hindu religion ceremonies. It is all friendliness and warm attention they give you. On 6 km up north a small city called Seririt offers a wide variety of typical Balinese shopping facilities. The 2-storey traditional market is overloaded with with all kinds of fresh food from vegetables, to meat, to fish and all the herbs and spices you need for cooking too. But also clothing, shoes and household goods.

The district in the north of Bali is called Buleleng with its former capital Singaraja as appointed by the Dutch colonial governement. Buleleng counts several interesting places like old Hindu temples, the only Buddist temple on the island, the hot water springs, various waterfalls and other nice places like the small touristic beach area Lovina on 20 min from Rangdu. Lovina offers a wide variety of all kinds of restaurants with extreme affordable prices.
