Hotel Description

This restored and exquisitely appointed seven-room, 19th-century nobleman’s mansion, is located five blocks from Barrio de Santiago, one of the most historic sites in the colonial sector of Merida. Constructed around spaciously-arched terazas, tropical gardens, cooling fountains and majestic pool, this hacienda urbana has been meticulously restored, preserving much of the original Spanish colonial design. Enveloping the grandeur of the past with the luxuriousness of modern comfort, our guest rooms transmit the ambience of a colonial mansion with original contemporary artwork and locally crafted furniture and décor, while providing the guest with attention to detail in the well-appointed amenities.

The principal objective of the Executives and Staff of The Villa is an amiable and personalized service, which affords a feeling of being in your own home with your own personal staff in a relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect locale to rent in its entirety for small group events, such as business meetings, photo and video shoots, workshops, social and recreational gatherings. Our personalized co-ordination takes care of the details so that you may enjoy your event. Nestled in the heart of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, this urban oasis offers the discerning traveler a unique and memorable experience. We offer a fusion of Culinary culture with home-cooked recipes of Mexican,Yucatecan and Caribbean cuisine.

About Boutique Merida

The Villa is located 5 blocks from Colonia Santiago, one of the oldest historical zones in Merida. We are 2 blocks from Parque Centenario which attracts Merida’s families on weekends to enjoy the park's zoo and train ride; and 10 blocks from the central zocolo, location of the oldest cathedral in Latin America, as well as the Casa de Montejo, the Palacio de Gobierno, the Palacio Municipal and the Galeria Macay. Eight blocks north of the zocolo is the Museo Anropologico. From the Villa to the central Zocolo is a 5 minute taxi ride or a colourful 20 minute walk. We recommend you bring a wide brimmed hat and plenty of sunblock.
