Vacation Rental Description

This luxury villa is situated in Dordogne, in Festalemps, in the centre of a small village with its pigeon house, its dependency, its terraces and inner courtyards. Festalemps is located between Ribérac and Aubeterre, on the verge of Dordogne and on Charente. The place is ideal to discover all treasures of Périgord.

Le Petit Chardon gives you a special environment for a quality stay and receives you in guest rooms located in the main building. There is a large park, circular swimming pool, five metres in diameters, with a bower, a terrace with long chairs, and with a private parking.

The whole building dates back to the 18th century. Every part of this villa was renovated in style typical for this region: roofing in old tiles "canal" and walls in visible stones. The internal decor is traditional and rural with beams and ancient pavings.

Every accommodation has its independent entrance and the swimming pool, gardens and terraces are orientated around the buildings to preserve peace and privacy for every family.

We also provide chambres d' hôtes in the Manor house with breakfast served at any time in the dining room or on the terrace.

In the cloister of échourgnac you will be able to try the most ancient cheese of the périgord: la trappe d'échourgnac. You should also not miss a visit to the monolithic church in Aubeterre which is one of the nicest villages in France.

Bergerac, a city of Périgord next to the Dordogne, leans on viticulture and tourism today. Old Bergerac, absolutely renovated, invites you to a promenade of the nicest across its shady alley ways edged with beautiful houses with half-timberings which will lead you to the cloister of Récollets where you can take part in a wine tasting.

This region is a marvellous playground for nature lovers and families. Numerous activities are possible on the beach, like swimming, windsurfing or fishing. You will also find restaurants, snack bars and picnic areas nearby.
