Vacation Rental Description

Our Bordeaux Aquitaine Villa can accomodate up to 8 people plus one baby.
It is well equipped and we provide bedding, household linen and bath towels (we do not provide beach towels).

1 fully equipped kitchen, microwave oven, coffee machine, Nespresso, toaster, oven and various cooking utensils.
1 living room (which opens out onto the terrace), fireplace, sofa, arm chairs, television, DVD player, Playstation, bookshelves, childrens' games, board games, dining section with table, chairs and sideboard.
4 bedrooms
bedroom 1: bed 180cm, cupboards, chest of drawers
bedroom 2: 2 beds 90cm, cupboard
bedroom 3: 1 bed 140cm, cupboard
(these three rooms have log cabin-style wooden wall panelling)

1 shower room (simple but comfortable)

The price includes the rent of all the laundry items and the rates (with the exception of heating in the winter)

About Bordeaux Aquitaine Cap Ferret

The chalet is comfortable and inviting and we enjoy staying here as a family
After a packed day at the beach (fishing, sailing, surfing and swimming in the waves) we enjoy the mild evenings, relaxing in the deckchairs on the terrace and dining with friends
Sometimes we take an evening walk to the nearby beach and waterfront at sunset to admire the beautiful light on the water which is very characteristic of the "Bassin".
Cap Ferret offers the choice of two different types of bathing, both very close to each other: the sheltered side ("Le Bassin") is perfect for young children. Take your fishing net and enjoy crab hunting at low tide.
On the other side of the peninsula are the massive ocean beaches where the sea is sometimes rough but always magnificent. Older children can enjoy playing in the waves and surfing (the main beach has lifeguards and supervised bathing). You can walk along the long expanse of sandy beaches for hours or just simply sunbathe.
Many activities are on offer, including:

bicycles for rent (many bicycle paths)
walking
typical local market
visiting the local fishing villages
boat trips (the "Dune du Pyla", "L'île aux oiseaux", Arcachon etc)
seafood and oyster tasting
little train that runs across the peninsula from the sheltered beaches to the ocean beaches

several night clubs

50 minutes from Bordeaux airport (Easy Jet and BA fly from London to Bordeaux)
20 minutes by ferry from Arcachon
Nearest hospital 20 minutes away in Ares

Come and discover Cap Ferret! The house is available for rent throughout the year.
Most local shops and restaurants are open all year round
From April to June and September to October the weather is mostly mild and sometimes even hot. During these months, Cap Ferret offers a whole range of activities including walking, cycling, afternoons at the beach and even swimming in the sea!

Once you have arrived, you can put away the car and rediscover the joys of getting around by bicycle! In Cap Ferret, everything is accessable on 2 wheels: beaches, shops, restaurants etc.
However if you prefer using a car, parking is free throughout the town and at the many beaches.

The chalet is conveniently situated between "Le Bassin" and the ocean with shops and the market nearby.
