Vacation Rental Description

Farmhouse Brugerie is situated in the centre of France, in the beautiful Limousin region. This idealic villa is set in a small hamlet in the Haute Vienne department just 15 minutes walk from the town of Sereilhac.

Accommodation - Sleeps 6 + cot...

The farmhouse comprises 2 large bedrooms (the larger back bedroom comfortably sleeps 4 - king size bed and two singles - front bedroom has a kingsize - cot available). Traditional farmhouse kitchen/diner with modern appliances - dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven and gas hob. Shower room and separate toilet. Lounge with log burner and tv/video/dvd (Freeview - UK channels).

From the lounge there is a french door to the rear garden which is grassed and completely fenced. To the left of the garden you will find the 8mx4m pool which has easy entry via the roman steps with surrounding decked area. The pool has a security cover which conforms to French safety standards and it is the responsibility of those using the house to ensure the pool is covered after each use or when not supervised. Linen & towels provided.

Grounds...

The pool overlooks a tranquil lake and hillside beyond. There is plenty of space for games and there is a BBQ. Sun loungers & garden furniture are provided. In the rear barn there is a table tennis table, dart board and additional drinks fridge.

About Bordeaux Aquitaine Dordogne

The local town of Sereilhac has an assortment of shops including bars/restaurants, 2 boulangeries, an epicerie, charcuterie and a tabac. At the centre there is a beautiful church and Marie. For supermarket shopping it is a short 5 min drive to Aix-sur-Vienne where you will find two supermarkets, banks and other shops etc.

Activities...
The historic city of Limoges is only half an hours drive away. Here you will find some stylish shops and restaurants. There is an old town‚ where you will find a covered market and antique shops. Limoges is famous for its porcelaine and chocolate shops.

There is plenty to do in the local area for all the family.

Around the property there are ample lakes and rivers to fish locally. (Fly fishing lessons can also be arranged through the owners).There is a good swimming lake with beach 15 mins away and a much larger one with water sports half an hour away.There is go-karting, water activities, a zoo and equestrian centre all close by and the northern part of the Dordogne region is only half an hour away.

How to get here...
The villa is 6.5 - 7 hours drive from Calais and 15-20 mins drive from Limoges airport, which is serviced by Standstead and Southampton airports in the UK. Eurostar from London to Paris and fast train on to Limoges are another good transport option.
