This Berlin Apartment is situated on Mitte, the district with the most attractions to visit in Berlin. You will find a large amount of historical and magnificent squares and place to visit.
The most famous monument is without question the “Brandenburger Tor”, which was the symbol for Berlin at all times: before Germany’s reunification as well as today. it is a point from where you can easily explore the magnificent boulevard “Unter den Linden” with the famous “Adlon” hotel leading to the “Karl Liebknecht Strasse” street and to the “Fernsehturm” tower, Berlin’s highest building.

You will be next to the “world time clock” and the popular Humboldt University, the national Opera and finally the “Museumsinsel” which is an aggregation of famous museums and a Unesco world heritage sight. The “Friedrichsstrasse” is nowadays a shopping street with shopping centers such as the Lafayette gallery and high class shops. To one direction it leads to the former “Checkpoint Charlie” and to the other direction to the “Oranienburger Strasse”.

The “Gendarmenmarkt” is one of Berlin’s most beautiful squares. Also located here is the “Schauspielhaus” theater, the German and the French Dome. Worth a visit is also the “Dorrotheenstädtische Friedhof” cemetery with the graves of writers Hegel, Brecht and Schinkel as well as Berlin’s “Nikolaiviertel” quarter that has kept its 18th century’s small town charm . The “Neue Regierungsviertel” (new governmental sight) is located between the districts of Berlin Mitte and Tiergarten.
