History of Schöneberg
Schöneberg is a very old locality in Berlin; its foundation by the Bohemian weavers dates back to 1751. The Seven Years' War of 1760 caused the destruction of the entire Schöneberg. After World War II, its town hall, the Rathus Schöneberg, was used as West Berlin's city hall until 1991.
