Vacation Rental Description

This vacation villa in Cote d'Azur is a magnificent 19th century mansion set in 5 acres of Mediterranean gardens with a heated swimming pool and panoramic sea views.

The vacation villa is in a quiet residential area of the town of Grasse, known as the world capital of perfume. The villa is available to rent as a whole during the summer months, week by week and also on a Bed & Breakfast basis from September to May.

There are 8 provencal bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 16. 2 salons, one with satellite TV, a large DVD library and piano. The other salon has a library of novels, maps and guidebooks. There is a large kitchen/dining room with open fireplace. In front of the villa is a large gravel terrace with garden furniture and gas barbecue. The jade green heated swimming pool is below the terrace.

Grasse, a medieval town on the hillside, known as the 'balcony of the Cote d'Azur' is known as the world capital of perfume. It was the setting for Patrick Suskind's novel, Perfume. There are 3 main perfumeries which offer guided tours and also a perfume workshop where you can create your own perfume.

The Cote d'Azur villa is just a 5 minute walk from the town centre and all local amenities. La Rivolte is an excellent base from which to explore the Cote d'Azur. Just 30 minutes from Nice Cote d'Azur airport, Cannes, Antibes and a little further are St. Tropez, Monaco, Menton, St. Paul de Vence and the spectacular Gorges du Verdon.
