Bed & Breakfast Description

This jewel of a Lisbon bed & breakfast is located right in the middle of the picturesque and cosmopolitan town of Cascais, 30 km outside Lisbon on the Estoril Coast. An elegant 19th century Mediterrranean mansion, with a facade richly ornamented by traditional Portuguese tiles and set in an immaculately colourful garden, the Casa da Pérgola is an oasis of charm.

10 comfortable bedrooms with private bathrooom. Most have air-conditioning and central heating.

Fans and oil heaters in all rooms. Beautiful cable TV lounge room furnished with antiques where a Port wine is served every evening.

Full breakfast served outside in the colourful garden or inside in the breakfast room.

No credit cards accepted. Closed from Dec. 15 to Feb. 15

About Beach Rentals Cascais

Cascais is an eight hundred year old fisherman's village with it's balmy climate made it a favourite place for several dethroned kings to make their home. Although now developed into a town, Cascais has retained its old world charm - in the old quarter you can take a walk through winding cobbled streets with pavement taverns and restaurants serving typical Portuguese dishes. In the harbour area, in the center of the town, fishermen repair their nets beside their colourfully painted boats.

Beautiful sand beaches along the coast make it the ideal destination for relaxing after visiting Lisbon. Nice and fashion shops, gourmet and local restaurants are easy to find and within walking distance from Pergola House. For joggers try the promenade along the ocean from Cascais to Estoril. Fond of bikes? There is a new bike lane along the coast (approx. 5 Km) from Cascais to the beach of Guincho, where international surf championships take place every summer. The train and bus station connecting to Lisbon and Sintra are 2 minutes walking distance.
