This Barcelona one bedroom penthouse apartment with a large private terrace is located in the Eixample, Barcelona’s ‘new town’ that actually dates from the early 19th century! Largely unchanged since then, the Eixample holds many of the city’s finest examples of modernista (or art nouveau) architecture, including Gaudi’s La Pedrera and Sagrada Familia – the symbol of Barcelona.
If you have come to indulge in some retail therapy you will be spoilt for choice, with big name boutiques lining the Passeig de Gracia, the district’s elegant boulevard (the lampposts on this street have also been designed by Gaudi).
The area is largely residential so you will also find supermarkets and well as specialty wine and gourmet shops. Restaurants in the Eixample tend to be of a higher standard than the old city and mainly cater to locals.
This holiday accommodation in the Eixample is about a 15-minute walk to the famous Las Ramblas and Passeig de Gracia and a 7-minute walk to the nearest metro stop.

This amazing and contemporary Barcelona one bedroom penthouse apartment with a large private terrace is located in the Eixample neighbourhood and about 15 minutes walking distance to major tourist attractions. The newly constructed apartment is the perfect couple getaway and can sleep up to 2 guests.
This sun-drenched and modern holiday accommodation in the Eixample – which is decorated in all white with colourful touches of lime green, brown and red – also features parquet floors, contemporary furnishings and a comfortable interior. The living, dining and kitchen area is open-plan and includes a sectional sofa, a dining table for 4 guests and an open kitchen with a fridge, microwave and a coffeemaker.
There is 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bright, red bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The highlight of this apartment is the incredible and spacious outside terrace and patio. It has city views and is furnished with tables and chairs for relaxing or al fresco dining.
Guests also benefit from a TV, a DVD player, air conditioning, bed linens and towels and a washing machine.

The landlord is very friendly and attentive.The apartment itself, situated on rooftop, is an interesting example of (interior) architecture. Everything was cosy and clean and the big terrace was just wonderful.We stayed for 10 days and felt quite at home. Just one suggestion for improvement: Some more crockery and pots and pans would be fine.
