Bali Villa: Indah Manis

Surrounded by forest and rural scenes on the island’s southern peninsula sits this five bedroom villa in Bali with breathtaking views spanning the Indian Ocean, up the west coast past Jimbaran, Kuta and Canggu and inland to Bedugul.  The expansive property – which was designed to maximise views and open-air living – is composed of a series of pavilions, a lap pool, a spa, a manicured lawn, terraces and ornamental ponds and can sleep up to 12 guests comfortably as well as completely functional for weddings, parties and celebrations.

This peaceful and modern Balinese accommodation in Bukit utilises local materials such as white Palimanan stone, teakwood and sandwash, together with ‘sirap’ ironwood shingle for the roofs.  There are 4 bedrooms + 1 kid’s room.  The property also incorporates a completely self-contained 1-bedroom honeymoon suite with a private pool, which can be rented independently.

All of the air-conditioned bedrooms are equipped with safe deposit boxes and hairdryers, and additional TVs can be provided upon request.  The first bedroom has a king-size bed, air conditioning, a TV and an en-suite bathroom, which is open-air, and complete with a bathtub.  The second bedroom has twin beds and 2 pullout sofas that can be converted into 2 single beds.  The en-suite garden bathroom features a rain shower.  The third and fourth bedrooms have an adjoining door for flexibility for families with children or can be closed for two separate rooms.  The adjoining open-air bathroom serves both of these bedrooms and has a rain shower.  The last bedroom which is located on the upper level and accessed by an external flight of stone steps has a deck complete with a daybed.  The bedroom has a king-size bed, a dressing area and an en-suite bathroom with a rain shower.

The living and dining pavilion which is flanked by a lotus pond is the focal point of the villa and open on four sides with sliding glass doors.  The pavilion is furnished with a dining table that can seat 14 guests, 3 cushioned sofas, lazy chairs.  A standalone teakwood bar (including 10 high chairs) rests at the edge of the pool terrace to one side of the pavilion.

The entertainment room and fitness room can be found down to a lower level below the garden and swimming pool.  It is furnished with an L-shaped sofa, silk cushions, a TV, DVD and surround sound speakers as well as a desk with Internet access. There is also a library of over 150 DVDs and books, a refrigerator, and an additional dining table for casual dining.  Immediately outside you will find a Pétanque court, a pool table and a dartboard.  The villa has an added bonus of a wine cellar.  The fitness room is equipped with a running machine, an exercise bike, a stepper, a rowing machine, light weights.

The 16 x 4 metre, infinity-edge lap pool is lined with green Java stone, and appears to overflow into the forest below.  The terrazzo pool deck is furnished with stylish, high quality, lightweight metal sun loungers and Chinese-style sun parasols.

For large parties, there is a full service kitchen that can cater up to 80 guests, all of whom can be seated on the terrace.

This five bedroom villa in Bali is located on the island’s southern peninsula in the Bukit area which boasts some of the most idyllic beaches in Bali, including Balangan, Dreamland, Bingin and Padang Padang.  These hidden, white sandy coves are great for both surfers and non-surfers alike.
