This spendid and harmonious holiday rental accommodation in Umalas – designed by a well-known architect and author – is integrated in the natural contours of the sloping land site with signature low roofs and organic shapes.  Blending contemporary Balinese architecture with traditional design, the villa is comprised of 2 king-size bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, a living area, a dining area, an entertainment area and an outside pool area.

The master bedroom has teakwood flooring and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a sunken terrazzo tub and a standing shower.  The spacious second bedroom has an en-suite bathroom has a rain shower.  This bedroom opens out to a deck beside the swimming pool.

On the ground level, there is the open living and dining area.  The living area which opens to the garden area has a sloping roof for maximum shade and features 3 sofas, a coffee table and a mini-fridge.  There is also a guest bathroom located on this level.  The dining area offers semi-, al fresco dining with a table for 6 guests under a glass pergola roof and a pebble-rock floor.

A stairway leads from the main floor up to a cosy entertainment area on an open mezzanine with a built-in sofa and is equipped with a 21” cable TV, a DVD player and a sound system.  The self-contained kitchen has polished black granite work surfaces and teak cabinets and is equipped with modern appliances including an oven, a gas hob and a microwave.

The freeform swimming pool is complemented by a beautiful garden that rolls down a gentle slope to a large cushioned ‘bale’ relaxation pavilion situated in a sheltered corner.

Guests also benefit from a BBQ, an Internet connection, air conditioning and bed linens and towels.

This two-bedroom Bali villa is located between the traditional villages of Umalas and Banjar Semer just a 10-minute drive to Batubelig Beach on Bali’s southwest coast. The rural location provides the traveler with a secluded setting but still close enough to other conveniences.

The trendy Seminyak area has a wide choice of international restaurants, chic cocktail bars, nightclubs, lavish spas and elegant shops and is only a 15-minutes drive away. The sweeping beach at Seminyak, renowned for its world-class surf breaks and panoramic coastline views, is the place where the local community gathers every evening to watch the legendary sunsets.

The Umalas Equestrian Centre is within 100 metres of the villa and offers horse lovers everything from sunset beach rides to dressage tuition and riding lessons for young children.

Nirwana Golf and Country Club, one of Asia’s finest golf courses and designed by Greg Norman, is a 20-minute car journey. Set amid sparkling rice terraces, the spectacular greens overlook the Indian Ocean and the dramatic wave-lashed Tanah Lot sea temple.
