Vacation Rental Description

Kohimarama Retreat is an executive 5 bedroom residence (sleeping 10), fully furnished with all the comforts of home, available all year round for short term rentals.

The Luxury villa is located in the Auckland beachside suburb of Kohimarama: 10 minutes walk from the beautiful Kohimarama Beach, 15 minutes walk to the vibrant restaurants and beach at Mission Bay. Kohimarama Retreat is private and secluded from the road - you won't believe you are just 15 minutes drive from the central city!

Approaching Kohimarama Retreat you pass through a long tree lined driveway and arrive at the house situated on 1700 square metres of beautiful lawn and New Zealand native plant garden...

BEDROOMS:
The spacious interior includes 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms:

* Waitemata Room: superking size bed; opens out onto a deck overlooking the garden
* Hauraki Room: superking size bed; opens out onto a different deck which is also shared by the fourth bedroom
* Rangitoto Room: two kingsingle beds
* Tamaki Room: queen size bed; joined to its own private sitting area
* Waiheke Room: queen size bed; located downstairs next to third living area
* A portacot (and highchair) are also available on request

BATHROOMS:

* The main tiled bathroom is fitted with a bath, a separate shower room, and a separate toilet room
* Waitemata Room: ensuite with a shower, toilet and basin
* Tamaki Room: ensuite toilet
* Waiheke Room: ensuite shower with basin and a separate toilet

OUTDOOR LIVING:
The house has decks on both sides, which are accessed by most of the bedrooms as well as the living areas. The main deck off the lounge, dining room and family room overlooks the native garden and has views across the whole of the Kohimarama valley. There is also a glass roof, tiled conservatory off the dining room so the outlook to the garden can be enjoyed all year round. Outdoor furniture and a gas barbecue enable al fresco dining on the deck much of the year.

ENTERTAINMENT AREAS:
The large lounge is equipped with television (including Sky satellite channels) and a DVD/CD player. A computer with a broadband internet connection is also available for your use. Between the dining room and kitchen is a second living room equipped with a TV and video machine. The downstairs games room holds a full size snooker/billiards table and a TV, and opens out to the native garden.

FACILITIES:
The house is fully equipped with quality bathroom and bedroom linen. The new modern kitchen overlooking the tree lined driveway is fully equipped with crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking implements, an electric oven and hob, fridge and freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a laundry with washing machine, dryer and a full size washing line.

CONFERENCES:
For a small additional charge conference facilities for up to 10 people can be supplied. This includes two conference tables (with linen tablecloths), a whiteboard (and accessories), a projector and S-Video and AV connectors to the two televisions to enable PC presentations.

New Zealand's largest city, Auckland is located in the northern central region of the North Island of New Zealand. The city lies across an 11km (8 mile) wide isthmus separating two harbours. It is fondly known as the City of Sails. Average temperatures are 23 degrees celcius in summer and 14 degrees celcius in winter.

The beachside suburb of Kohimarama is 45 minutes drive from Auckland International Airport and a picturesque 15 minute drive around the waterfront to the central city. Kohimarama Retreat is located 10 minutes walk from the beautiful Kohimarama Beach - safe for family swimming and watersports.

Kohimarama Retreat is 15 minutes walk to the vibrant restaurants and beach at Mission Bay. The huge Madills Farm recreation reserve is 10 minutes walk. As well as being used for organised sports games, it has a walking track around the perimeter, and also a children's playground. St Heliers Village is 5 minutes drive. Located here are more restaurants and cafes, boutique clothes shops, bookshops, chemists, banks, post office, travel agents, hairdressers, a butcher, and the local library. A supermarket and more shops are located 3 minutes drive away at Eastridge Mall.

Notes on Villa Prices

1. Prices shown in New Zealand dollars. The minimum stay at Kohimarama Retreat is 3 nights.
2. Prices for stays longer than one week are available on request.
3. Prices shown are for booking the whole house (from 1 to 10 people).
4. Kohimarama Retreat prices are fully inclusive (they include power, water, quality bedding and bathroom linen, SKY TV, telephone, computer with broadband internet, monitored alarm).
5. Unless agreed otherwise, earliest arrival time at Kohimarama Retreat is 3:00pm and latest departure time is 10:00am. If Kohimarama Retreat is not booked before/after your stay, there may be some flexibility in the arrival/departure times. However, this needs to be agreed in advance with the owners.
6. A 20% deposit is payable on booking. This deposit can only be returned upon cancellation if those days are subsequently re-booked for full rate.
7. Full payment is due four weeks before arrival.
