Vacation Rental Description

Within 30 minutes of Auckland Central and the airport, The Ferns 'Chalet' offers a touch of luxury in a private rainforest garden within walking distance to cafes and nature trails. The romantic loft bedroom has a superking size bed, TV, desk and clock radio. There is a double bed in the cozy guest room downstairs. The bathroom has a spa bath under a bifold window opening out to the rainforest vegetation and the sound of birdsong.  There is a small but well equiped kitchen cook top stove and oven, a microwave,fridge/freezer and all cooking utensils. The Chalet has a wrap around patio and a porch with garden seats and coffee table. Satellite TV can be beamed up to the Loft bedroom and broadband connection for your laptop is available. The telephone has free calling for Auckland region and a phone card can be purchased from the local store for international dialling. There is a washing machine and dryer and outside clotheline.

The Chalet is nestled under a canopy of giant tree ferns and nikau palms in the exotic rainforest garden of The Ferns B&B right behind Titirangi - gateway to Auckland's coastal rainforest region - The Waitakere Ranges. Throughout this magical area, 200 kms of tracks and trails take you along meandouring streams to majestic waterfalls or along clifftops with stunning views of the Tasman Sea.Stroll through the rainforest trail to local cafes or enjoy the bush track opposite The Ferns which leads to Titirangi Beach, a peaceful bay on Auckland's Manukau Harbour. Fifteen minutes by car to other private bays and beaches or a thirty  minutes to the dramatic black sand beaches of Piha and KareKare (The Piano)
