Vacation Rental Description

Upstairs
There is studio accommodation comprising an open plan living room and kitchen with ‘eat-in-bar’, a partially enclosed double bedroom & separate bathroom. The floors are polished mahogany. Louvered windows throughout ensure a gentle southwesterly breeze, cooling even the hottest days and offering sea view all around.

Downstairs
Approached by stairs off the veranda there is a second twin-bedded room with bathroom, attractively furnished with closet, fridge and air conditioner and sea views. There are delightful paintings throughout the house.

Outside
My Brother’s House is covered in bougainvillea with humming birds. It is in a landscaped garden among tropical fruit trees and flowering plants and date palms, with a separate gate and pathway leading to the downstairs room. The house has private parking and is approached by a short rising access road. It is not necessary to hire a car. Small 14-seater buses are frequent, great fun and a bus stop is 3 minutes walk from the villa.

This unique holiday home, loved by family, is situated on the edge of Crabbe Hill, one of the only seaside villages in Antigua. Though removed from the ever-increasing number of tourists and benefiting from a friendly, caring community, it is just a 7 minute drive to Jolly Harbour, with its first-class shopping, a bank, supermarket, casino, bars and restaurants and impressive marina.

St. John’s town is 20 minutes drive which has fruit and vegetable markets, fresh fish and meat markets, and excellent shopping facilities, along with a variety of most charismatic restaurants, Antiguan and International. Within easy walking distance is Turner’s Beach Bar & Restaurant, OJ’s with live music twice weekly, 3 Martinis and Gibson’s Restaurant’s excellent cuisine in Crabbe Hill. Darkwood Beach Bar and Restaurant is a few minutes drive and rates among one of the best five beaches in the world. Next to Darkwood is Ffreyes Beach, mostly quiet with Dennis’ Bar & Restaurant serving local food and situated on a hill with panoramic views.

My Brother’s House is a perfect house to rent for friends or a small family (maximum 4), looking for privacy, seclusion and guaranteed relaxation. (Not suitable for people with walking disabilities.)

Cleaning once a week with change of sheets & towels.
