This luxury apartment in Amsterdam has two spacious bedrooms in Amsterdam’s Plantage District. Located on the edge of the city’s historic centre, this beautiful area is close to the old city zoo Artis and the Botanical Gardens. This Centre Dam holiday rental is a third floor penthouse which offers authentic high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and wooden floors throughout. The lounge area is upstairs and includes a comfortable sofa, arm chairs, large flat screen TV, CD player and a dining table. The open kitchen is in the middle of the living area and comes fully equipped with a wide range of modern conveniences. The luxury apartment has three twin bedrooms, each with two single beds, are on the lower level. The largest bedroom at the front comes complete with a flat screen TV. The superbly finished bathroom is also on this floor and boasts a large sink, bidet and bathtub with shower. A separate toilet can be found off the hallway

One of the capital’s greenest and most beautiful neighborhoods, ‘De Plantage’ offers attractive architecture and easy access to popular sights like the old city zoo Artis, the Hollandsche Schouwburg, Tropen Museum and the Hortus Botanicus (botanical gardens).  We rented the Jasmin Penthouse apartment for a 5 day stay in Amsterdam. We were 2 adults and 3 children under 13. We rated the stay as 4 stars, it was very satisfying.Now in details...The location of the apartment is very adapted to our needs. The Plantage area is very calm, green, with a typical architecture, near too a quiet channel, well positionned to access to transports (especially the trams), not far from the Central station (by tram). We found easily a supermarket (10mn walk), several bakeries, etc. The Artis zoo is a not more than 5 mn walk.The property is comfortable for a 5 to 6 people family. A wide open living room, very luminous is on the last floor. 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and toilets on the third floor.As the property is in a traditional building, it is a bit tricky to access to it as stairs are very straight and narrow. Attention : there is no elevator, despite the indications on the description. Elders could n’t access nor live in this penthouse (inside stairs ar as straight and narrow as in the corridors). One of the bedrooms is blind, small and between the two other bedrooms. Endly, the apartment lacks of storage space for luggages, clothes, etc. All of this is not significant for a short stay but can be a bit disadvantageous for a longer stay.We chose a personal check in at the apartment. This is a good choice to check if all is all right and discuss a bit about some practical indications (use of the amenities, neibourhoods, transports, etc). We were very satisfied by this service. We arrived in a very clean apartment, ready to use.In conclusion, we very very satisfied of our choice and really enjoyed. Prices being very high in Amsterdam, choosing this apartment was a good price/quality ratio for a 5-people family. It appears to be expensive, but gives a comfortable “base camp” compared to ordinary hotels.We recommend this apartment. (24-08-2011) |

More than 14 days: In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking with more than 14 days prior warning, 100% of of the deposit amount is non refundable.
Within 14 days: Less than 14 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total accommodation cost will be charged.
Within 24 hours: Less than 24 hours prior to arrival or cancellation without prior notice "no-show": 100% of the total accommodation cost will be charged.
If the client abandons the property, he loses all rights to any eventual refund or rebate.
If there's a "no-show" without the client giving prior warning to Holiday Velvet , the client is liable for 100% of the total booking amount.
Should you need to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, airline cancellation, ill health etc, the same cancellation conditions as stated here apply.
As a precautionary measure, we strongly recommend that the Client purchase travel insurance.
The apartment provider reserves the right to cancel or alter the booking if:1. If the guest(s) are not able to pay the pre-payment and/or remaining balance upon arrival.2. If the guest(s) are not able to show their passport, id card or drivers license upon arrival.3. If the guest(s) are not able to provide a security deposit in form of a valid credit card.4. The apartment(s) or part of it is closed due to circumstances beyond its control.5. It prejudices the reputation or causes or might cause in the apartment providers opinion, damage to the apartments and its common areas.6. The apartment provider becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation or receivership.The apartment provider will not be liable for any delay, loss, damage or expenses incurred if your booking needs to be altered or cancelled or the apartment provider is unable to perform the contractual obligations as a result of events beyond his reasonable control, which shall include but not be limited to events such as war, civil strife, terrorist activity, labor disputes, natural or man-made disaster, fire, flood, adverse weather conditions or change of local government laws.In any of these circumstances the apartment provider will refund any payments made in advance, but will have no further liability to the Client.If the apartment provider receives serious complaints or any disputes arise, he reserves the right to terminate your stay without notice and refunding payments.
