Vacation Rental Description

INTRODUCING A UNIQUE B & B on the Prinsengracht in the museum quarter of central Amsterdam. From the floor to ceiling windows a magnificent view awaits of the characteristic canals of Amsterdam and the Rijks Museum. The stylish furnished B & B is on the second floor of a recently renovated canal house, easily accessible by a lift. The cosy sleeping loft is at the top of a short flight of stairs. As you enter the spacious bathroom (with a huge bath tub) a mosaic created by your host will catch your eye. The kitchen is fully equipped for those nights when the view is all you need.

Jannie Iwema runs the Amsterdam B & B and is the perfect host thanks to her local knowledge of Amsterdam. She keeps up to date on cultural events happening in Amsterdam and will be able to point you in the right direction, whatever your direction may be. She is even able to pre book tickets if there is particular event you wish to attend.

The light, roomy living area doubles as a showrrom, displaying works created by Jannie herself. Enjoy your breakfast while taking in the view and also the latest in Jannie's creations.

About Amsterdam Museum Quarter

Within a five minute walk you will find the Museum square containing Amsterdam's most famous museums - the Rijks Museum, Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum - and also the Concert Building.

Just around the corner of the B & B is the Spiegelstraat, one of Holland's premier antique shopping areas. Looking for fashion? Recognised as one of the most exclusive shopping streets in Amsterdam, the Leidsestraat and PC Hoofstraat are also a just short walk away.

Nightlife in Amsterdam is a truly vibrant affair and easily explored from the B & B. In and around the Leidseplein lie many cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as the Stadsschouwburg. Not to forget Paradiso and the Melkweg - both world class venues with regular world class performances.
