This holiday apartment in Positano is in Positano which is a dramatically beautiful town clinging to the cliff over the turquoise waters below. Positano is the pearl of the Amalfi Coast and is located in one of the most beautiful valleys in the area, and the valley opens up to an equally magnificent stretch of coastline.
The center of Positano is dominated by the brightly coloured "maiolica" dome of Santa Maria Assunta, the main church of Positano. The church not only holds a magnificent collection of intriguing works of art from the XIII, and XVI century, the church is also a very important part of daily life for many local inhabitants of Positano.
Positano also has it’s glamorous and fashionable side and this is just one of the many reasons that tourists from all over the world flock to the pathways, and boutiques of Positano each summer.
With it's beauty, luxurious hotels, bars, restaurants, and shops, Positano is the perfect place to discover the Amalfi Coast.

This holiday apartment in Positano (40m2) is situated dramatically on top of one of the higher rocks of the Fornillo area in Positano and overlooks proudly the southern Amalfi coast. On top of the Villa Boscariello it is one of the highest points in Positano and therefore offers the best views. Together with Villa Boscariello the entire property can sleep 10 guests comfortably.
One has to be in good condition to climb all the steps, but you will be rewarded. To this unique spot one comes to find rest, peace and stunning views. This Positano apartment offers comforts like air conditioning, one very large terrace of about 60m2. You will find no one above you and overlooking Positano and the Amalfi Coast like this gives a mighty feeling of freedom.
The Penthouse is divided in a small living room with an open kitchen with access to the terrace. The kitchen has two gas burners big enough to prepare small meals. A comfortable couch can also be used as double bed. From the living you can go the bathroom that has a comfortable Jacuzzi shower. Next to the bathroom there is a double bedroom with private access to the large terrace.
TRULY outstanding! It is true there are lots of stairs to climb, but it was great exercise and many places to stop and rest on the way up, and enjoy the views. Everything is handy around Positano, so it is easy to walk everywhere...which is what we did. The apartment was clean as a whistle, and was convenient to everything. Geovanni was most helpful when we arrived giving us plenty of information as to restaurants, how to work everything, and was a VERY gracious host. But now for the important part...the views. My wife did not want to leave.! We would sit every evening and watch the sun setting over the sea and watch the ships/boats come and go. And when the sun finally set it was beautiful to watch as the lights began to be turned on around town. I can highly recommend this place for a stay, and if/when we return, we will certainly try to stay here again!
The Amlalfi Coast is breathtakingly beautiful and our stay at Penthouse Bosca was great - it is clean, has everything you need, the sun terrace is massive and a major bonus and it is incredibly private. There are lots of steps (217) to the apartment and yes this is hot and tiring but the stunning views are worth the climb and a real bonus is being able to eat more pasta and pizza and burn off the calories on the way home. However there are some drawbacks to Amalfi and Positano. Everything is expensive especially with the current exchange rate and in Italy it seems standard that everything is an extra charge. Parking is a short walk from the bottom of the steps and cost us 18 Euros a day - that is before you add in the charge of renting the car, the fuel and charges for parking when you get somewhere (which are also relatively high - 2 Euros an hour was the cheapest). The driving is also crazy - we managed to smash our wing mirror but felt quite lucky that this was the only damage to the vehicle and us more amazingly! Eating out is also pricey but the food is generally of a very high quality. Also beware that if you are staying in Positano and want to go to the beach this is approximately another 500 steps and if you want to hire an umbrella and/or sunbed this will set up back a fair amount too! Having said all that my husband and I had a fabulous time and would certainly return to the Amalfi, Positano and Penthouse Bosca, it's just that we need to save up for a while before we do. Enjoy!
