This Positano villa dates back to the 1800's and has been completely remodelled and transformed into a set of luxury apartments without losing the unique sense of being in a historic home in the vibrant southern Italy.

This villa has featured in magazines such as Architectural Digest and its owners, renowned designers of theatre and costumes for opera and film, have simply directed their artistic talents and energy into this lovely building. Vaulted ceilings, spacious rooms furnished with contemporary and antique furniture, huge dramatic windows leading to sensational balconies are just some of the outstanding features. With sunbathing, beach, boating, boutiques and fabulous restaurants all within walking distance, it is ideal just to "stay put", or as part of a more extended Italian holiday.

Margherita Sponda is an enchanting apartment has an enormous living room (the former reception hall of the hotel), and French windows leading to the terrace with its great views to the sea. A pretty working fireplace makes a delightfully cosy atmosphere for guests who prefer to travel out of the summer months. Opposite the pretty bedroom there is a large en suite bathroom, with jacuzzi and separate shower. The intimate little terrace makes a delightful alternative for breakfast.

The church not only holds a magnificent collection of intriguing works of art from the XIII, and XVI century, the church is also a very important part of daily life for many local inhabitants of Positano.
