This residence rental in France is situated in Alpe d’Huez in the village of Les Crozats in the Central French Alps. Alpe d’Huez is known as “L’ile au Soleil” (island of the sun) as most of the slopes face south and for the amount of sunshine it gets year round. It is also one of the main mountains in the Tour de France that has been a stage finish in almost every year since 1976 except for 2009 and 2010. This accommodation in Alpe d’Huez is also close to an abundance of other outdoor activities including dog- or horse-drawn sleigh rides, quad bikes, an outdoor swimming pool, an ice-skating rink, paragliding, a golf course, fishing, kayaking, scooter rides and snow-shoe treks. There is also a squash court, a cinema and bowling. Distances to ski lifts (50-200m); ski schools (150m); and ski shops (min away). The Grand Domaine des Arcs has 106 runs and 73km of cross-country skiing and 30km of walking paths. The Paradiski ski area has 242 runs and 158km of cross-country skiing paths. Les Arcs and La Plagne are connected via the Vanoise Express. Even though it is situated in the highest part of the resort, it is also very close to shops and all services and there is a free shuttle service to the slopes. Transfers from Chambery Airport (2hrs); Bourg St. Maurice Station (20min).
