Vacation Rental Description

The property is situated on a developing urbanisation called La Herrada on the outskirts of Los Montesinos, approximately 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Guardamar del Segura & 10 minutes from the busy city of Torrevieja which also hosts fabulous coastline. Los Montesinos is only approximately 35 minutes drive from both Murcia and Alicante international airports making it ideally situated for holiday makers and people wishing to emigrate with families frequently visiting

This is the upper apartment of the duplex and it has a super shaded balcony as well as a roof terrace. Great location away from the bust coastal areas yet the beaches are less than 15mins drive away.

The street boasts are lovely communal pool and gardens which are fully secure for children with a kids pool area. The apartment itself is clean, bright and modern, only having been completed in 2007. It has one double and one twin room. Lounge and separate kitchen with a cooker, fridge, washing machine and microwave.

About Alicante Torrevieja

Los Montesinos - Lying just north of the Torrevieja salt lake, Los Montesinos is one of the Vega Baja villages of the Southern Costa Blanca, Spain. Located in the Alicante province within the Communidad de Valencia, it is a village with a more modern feel than many of the surrounding villages.

Although Los Montesinos seems more up to date, its history goes back to Roman times, remains of a Roman village have been found and this links conveniently to the important ancient Roman road which runs through the village. The Via Augusta would have been the most important road in Spain during the Roman occupation although it is somewhat uninspiring today, looking much like any other road

Over many centuries Los Montesinos has depended mostly on agriculture for its survival, but in recent years the modern invasion of tourism and property development seems to have taken over in importance. The village is still, however surrounded by mile upon mile of orange and lemon groves. New development of properties has brought more wealth and status to Los Montesinos and has resulted in a sizeable expat community in the village. Even so the old Spanish traditions have not been lost and the old mingles nicely with the new giving Los Montesinos a warm and friendly feel.

As with all Spanish villages Los Montesinos has its share of fiestas and celebrations, including the Day of Segregation (July 30th), the Virgen de Pilar (October) and the Day of Saint Cecilia (the patron saint of the village), in November.

Part of the new feel of the village is created by the new Town Hall (Ayuntamiento), an impressive building close to the Town Square.
